Another Way Of Life.com, which was established in 2007, is a team of professionals, dedicated to helping buyers achieve their desire to move to one of the world’s most beautiful and spectacular areas - inland Andalusia.
We are a mixed group of Spanish and non-Spanish partners and those of us that were not born here have been here for a long time, mostly over ten years, and some of us have children born here. Andalusia is our permanent home.
We are very experienced in the sale and purchase of country properties and have encountered just about every problem that might arise. Our role is to find a way to resolve those problems so that you, the buyer, can legally acquire the house of your dreams. Above all we are honest and will not make statements about what you can do to a property, such as extensions or major renovations, unless we know it to be true. For us Another Way Of Life is more than a job, it is a privilege to spend time in the spectacular mountains of the Alpujarras, looking down over the lake at Iznajar, driving through orange and lemon groves in the Lecrin Valley or contemplating the vast landscapes of the Poniente de Granada.

Another Way Of Life.com operates throughout Eastern Andalucia via a network of closely linked agencies including Orgiva Properties, Alpujarras Properties, Lecrin Properties, Granada Country Properties, Iznajar Properties and Malaga Country Properties, as well as in the historic city of Granada via Albayzin Properties. All of our partners work hard to ensure that the properties they are entrusted to market reach the widest possible audience. This is achieved, globally, not only through the Partnership’s websites but also through paid monthly subscriptions to around 20 property portals. In this way we are able to reach out to potential buyers in all corners of the world.

OUR PROMISE

To our vendors, we promise to maximize exposure of their property, not only passively via our websites and portals but also actively through direct, and precisely targeted, email marketing backed by a highly sophisticated CRM (Customer Relations Management) system.

To our buyers, we don’t just promise to do our best to find their ‘dream’ property. By listening carefully to their needs we are able to recommend properties that are likely to best suit them even
if this is not immediately apparent to the client.

We will not engage in estate agent’s tricks. We will not show you properties which we know will not be suitable just to make it seem to the seller that we are active on their behalf. Or to keep you occupied so that other agencies cannot be with you. Our time, like yours, is precious and we will not waste it.

A cornerstone of Another Way Of Life’s philosophy is that the agency works as a partner and honest broker for both seller and buyer. Experience has taught us the importance of ensuring that both parties involved in the transaction are equally happy with the outcome. Sellers expect us to highlight the advantages of their property and this, of course, we do but we do not exaggerate what a buyer will be able to do with a property once it is purchased. And after the purchase is finalized we are available to help buyers in whatever way they need without time limit.


THE IMPORTANCE OF CULTURE AND LANGUAGE

The vast majority of our buyers are non‐Spanish, predominantly Northern Europeans. It is vitally important, therefore, that the estate agent speaks the language of the client and also understands their mentality.

This is difficult for Spanish agents. Thought processes and belief structures can be vastly different and misunderstandings very common. All of the Another Way Of Life.com partners speak English fluently, Spanish well, and some also speak French or Dutch also.

ANOTHER WAY OF LIFE.COM WAS FOUNDED BY ALLAN HILDER

A U.K. qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Allan has lived for over fourteen years in the Albayzín district of Granada with his wife and twelve-year-old daughter, who was born in Spain.
A fluent Spanish speaker, Allan has a First Class Hons. Degree in Spanish and French (University of Kent 1999) and a Masters Degree in Applied Language Studies (University of Kent 2001).
As well as helping others to find and create their dream homes, Allan has bought and renovated several properties, both in the old Arab quarter of Granada and in the countryside of Andalusia.
Because of this he is highly experienced in dealing with architects, builders and, perhaps more importantly, Spanish bureaucracy at all levels.

At the Another Way Of Life.com Partnership we have the experience and expertise to hold together the sales and purchase process to ensure that our buyers obtain the property they desire and the seller achieves a fair price for their property, taking into account market conditions.

In the past five years there have been considerable changes in legislation affecting the sale of property in Andalucia. We at another Way Of Life.com understand the impact of these changes, and work hard to manage the process, obtaining whatever documentation is necessary and advising vendor clients whether action is necessary to rectify documentation prior to completion.
