Description

A charming townhouse at the edge of the Albayzin with panoramic views from the roof terrace towards the Alhambra, the Albayzin and the hill on which the San Miguel Alto church stands.

Arranged on three floors, the house comprises:

Ground Floor: the house is entered through a former garage which is now used as an extension to the small patio. Both are paved in traditional Granada style with black and white cobblestones. Above the former garage the flat roof has been converted into a semi-open workshop space, accessed via a spiral staircase. Entering the house proper, there is an open kitchen/lounge with double doors onto the patio. The kitchen is special: two antique stone sinks and a counter made from a solid slice of tree. Off the kitchen there is a small under stairs room that houses the washing machine and water heater.

First Floor: Two double bedrooms, each with a small balcony looking South-West and a wet room.

Second Floor: a spacious, light lounge and kitchen area with air conditioning and patio doors, giving onto a small balcony and a second bathroom. Views are of the Alhambra and the lower Albayzin. From this floor there are wooden stairs leading to the roof terrace with spectacular views all around.

The shops and services of the Upper Albayzin are five minutes walk away, there are restaurants even closer and the city centre is an easy twenty-five minute walk. Bus services to and from the city centre and the Alhambra are frequent, usually every ten minutes or so. The nearest stop is five minutes away.

All mains services are connected.

If you don’t yet know this wonderful, historic neighbourhood of Granada well, why not take a look at our exposure guide on the Albayzin in the Area Guide section above (next to Overview).
