Description

A large 5 bedroom town house with a traditional Albayzin style in a great location, only a short 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and close to all amenities and bus stops. The property is set out over 5 floors:

On the ground floor there is an Andalusian style interior patio, a storage room, a kitchen, a living room or bedroom depending on preference, and a WC.

Going up the stairs at the far end of the patio, one comes up to the first floor, where there is a bedroom on the left and down the passage to the right, a storage space, a WC, two well-sized bedrooms and a gorgeous renovated family sized bathroom with freestanding bath as well as a shower.

The bulk of the required renovation work, apart from the family bathroom, is on these two floors. 

 

The third, fourth and fifth floors have been used as the living spaces by the current owners and many parts have been renovated and updated.

On the third floor, the main bedroom is off to the left, while the passageway to the right leads passed another WC and an unrenovated bathroom, with a combined bath and shower, before coming into a homey and spacious open plan living room with three large windows and fantastic views over Granada. The living room, with pellet stove, has wonderful character, lovely wooden beams and pillars and lots of natural light. All bedrooms have electric heaters.

Stairs lead up to a fully fitted kitchen and lovely dining area. There is an uncovered roof terrace on this fourth floor, with ample space for an al fresco dining table and chairs. It would be perfect for barbeques.

On the fifth floor there is a cosy office space or guest room, with windows looking out over the city and a door to the left that leads out to the second, covered roof terrace. This floor can be accessed from the stairs leading up from the kitchen / dining area. Alternatively, there are stairs leading up from the first terrace to the second and in through a door on the side of the terrace. Both terraces enjoy views out of the city of Granada and the cathedral as well as part of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada to the left.

 

The house is structurally sound and the renovations required are aesthetic more than anything. Repainting the house would already drastically improve its appearance. Over the past five years, the current owners have done the following renovations on the house, but sadly have decided to sell as a result of the pandemic and their lives taking another route:
