This 60m², two bedroom detached cortijo is situated on the outskirts of Mecina Bombaron, a lovely little pueblo blanco in the high Alpujarra. The larger towns of Ugijar and Cadiar are approximately 20 minutes’ drive.
The property is set in 7000 m² of land mainly planted with almond trees. The land is gently sloping in places so offers the possibility to cultivate parts. Access is via a concrete road and a short dirt track, in good condition.
The cortijo, situated in a top corner of the land has parking directly outside. To the front of the property is a paved terrace offering beautiful views along the valley to the Med in the far distance.
On entering the property to the right is the compact kitchen, this has fitted base and wall units, double stainless sink and a freestanding cooker with extractor. The kitchen is separated from the living/dining area by a handy stone built shelving unit fitted with a slate worktop and curtains. The living area has a fitted window seat, ceiling fan and a fireplace with wood burner and storage for fuel.
The tiled bathroom has a corner shower, wc and a washbasin. At the back of the property, are two double bedrooms separated by a small open space, currently used as an extra sleeping area with bunk beds. This would make a good study or craft area. Outside there are two outbuildings/storage rooms.
The property has mains electric and water rights.
Mecina Bombaron has a couple of convienence shops, a bank, school, and a chemist. It has some great walks and is on the GR7 trail. Cadiar is just 15 to 20 minutes away which has everything that one would need, including petrol station, opticians, bars/restauarants, butchers, fish mongers, Carrefour Express, schools, wifi, animal feed shop, building suppliers, car garages and much more.
Mecina Bombaron is famous for its Chestnut Fiesta in November.
