Description

Four traditional Alpujarran cortijos with very large workshop for conversion. Ideal for a rural tourism business, retreat centre, cookery school, etc. Needs only basic redecoration and maintenance. The property is full of quirkiness and character.

The main cortijo comprises; ground floor, two double bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, large pizza oven and a spacious dining room. Behind the kitchen there is a storage area with access to the outside. Similalry from the dining rooom, there is access to the interior patio. On the first floor there is a large split-level lounge with bar/kitchenette, an open fireplace, a door with access to a dining terrace and access to a roof terrace with magnificent views. There is also a bedroom on this floor and a family size bathroom with sunken bath.

The first and second casitas each have a kitchen, lounge and bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor they have a double bedroom with access to a private roof terrace with views across the valley to the mountains beyond..

The third casita has a kitchen/dining room and bathroom on the ground floor, upstairs there is a large double bedroom, a bathroom and a large terrace.

The main cortijo has underfloor heating although this has not been used for some years and may need maintenance.

The 120m2 stone built barn is currently used as a carpenter's workshop on the ground floor. It would make an ideal workshop, restaurant, yoga room, painting studio etc. The upper floor which is currently unfinished, could be very easily converted into two or three bedrooms and bathrooms because there are already three separate entrances from the outside. These rooms would have fabulous views and require only partition walls and the installation of bathrooms.

Beside the barn and attached to it is a two-storey extension, the ground floor of which could serve as an office or reception. The upper floor could work as a bathroom to one of the rooms above.

There is a large water deposit suitable for use as a pool, which is fed from the acequia above the land.

Below the barn is an area formerly used as a vegetable garden with fruit trees and a chicken house.

There is ample space for parking several cars, both immediately before arriving at the barn and higher up with direct access to the main house.

Mains electricity is connected. The property is connected to teh main sewer network and has acequia water rights for irrigation. The water is unlimited. Broadband internet available.

The property is located 5 minutes from Pitres. Access to the property is easy, a short track from a tarmac road, meaning that any vehicle could pass on the track.

The historic city of Granada can be reached in 90 minutes. The beaches of the Costa Tropical are an hour's drive away.

Buying Procedure and Costs

The details listed above are believed to be correct but are offered merely as a guide and do not form part of any future contract. If you are unfamiliar with buying property in Spain you may wish to read our guide to the buying procedure.
As in all countries there are further costs incurred when purchasing a property which are not included in the price stated above.
