Many of the walking paths of the area pass through the village. The G142 route, which traverses the whole of the Alpujarras, offers varied and stunning landscapes, as well as other routhes such as the newly signposted 'Ruta Medieval'. The village is known for its many artisan shops, potteries, art exhibitions and weavers. The historic city of Granada can be reached in just under 90 minutes. The coast is just an hours drive away.
